Current Loves.

pick apart the past, you're not going back

Sunday nights was incredibly freezing cold! It was insane! Now that all the fog has left we've got clear skies and more snow coming. BRRRRR.
After dinner at Roxy Burger and a few beers under my belt, Mitch and I braced the cold chilly air and walked over to Richards. The opening band was mediocre, I didn't like the vocals too much, but the drummer was pretty sweet.

Richards on Richards is becoming one of my favorite places to see live music, the Commodore being first [for now...]. You can find a good view of the stage pretty much anywhere. It was excellent. Mitch and I found a cozy spot on the second floor to watch the opening band and Beach House play.
The style of music is very mellow, not really upbeat, and I found myself yawning and getting a bit sleepy. But her florescent orange sweater kept my eyes wide awake.

All in all, an ok performance [B-]. I was surprised to see so many people show up though.
I honestly thought it would be more sparse.

Love is surprises, live our own lives

Mitch and I are seeing Beach House tomorrow night at Richards on Richards. He received two tickets from his cousin for Christmas. I had never heard of them before and they aren't too bad, but not exactly my taste, although they are growing on me the more I listen to them. I'll post some pictures from the show on Monday or Tuesday.

Dark City.

CrazyDumbSaints.

This week couldn't move any slower, I'm most certainly ready for the weekend. It feels like I haven't seen a blue sky in months, which is effecting my mood severely. I convinced myself that I was sick this morning, and came to the conclusion that maybe working wouldn't be the best choice for me today. This lasted a whole 30 minutes. Then I climbed out of bed, took an extra long shower and ended up being late for work.
Woopsies!
Before work, I sneaked into the coffee shop next door and bought a granola and yogurt cup, which are usually very tasty, but today I learned that if you leave the granola sitting it the yogurt too long it becomes a disgusting mush of GROSSNESS.

This is true, so don't pretend I never told you.

I'd really like to do more outfit posts, but most days I wear all black, for this is my work uniform, and yes, I do work at a restaurant. So my pictures would be very repetitive and boring and would probably make you believe I go to funerals most days. Which considering where I work, may very well be true.

There's nothing more refreshing than a disposable camera. I bought one the other weekend and still have about 10 photos left to capture. I've already forgotten some of the pictures I've taken. I can't wait to develop them all. After using a digital for so many years, it's nice not being able to see every single photo instantly. And to not have your friends constantly saying:

"Let me see that one!"

"How do I look?"

"EEEWWW, delete that one, please!"

You know who you are.

Vanilla bean ice-cream and strawberries = best late night snack ever.

Cecilia, the youngest, only thirteen, had gone first...

The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides

I have seen this movie more times than I can even remember. For some reason, whenever I find myself having a horribly awful, and depressing day, I watch "The Virgin Suicides". You might think I'd want to watch something that would lighten my mood, or lift my spirits, but oddly enough, I'll always feel a little better after the credits end.
Life could be worse.

Im ready for my close up

Finally Friday!

Today's outfit:
H&M floral top / Wilfred high waisted skirt / American Apparel head band /
Urban Outfitters wallpaper crochet flower tights [not show]

Yesterdays purchases. :)

YAAAAAAAY!! It's Friday and if you didn't notice, I'm thrilled. I have work tonight, but I should be off relatively early, which may mean dinner and movie? The last movie I saw was Benjamin Button, and for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? Two thumbs up. As for the weekend, all I have planned is cupcake making [Vanilla with chocolate frosting, YUM!], and reading "The Virgin Suicides." I know I said that I would write a review about the last book I was reading, "Lullabby", but due to the unimpressing second half of the book, there will be no such review. Sorry Mr. Palahnuik, but that's the truth.

Oh! And I really need a new camera!
Suggestions?

I'm loving the second outfit. I need a comfy over sized button-up a.s.a.p.
Any opinions on the hair style? Reminds me of Full House. :) I kinda like it
I really like this button-up at Urban Outfitter

I've got the day off work tomorrow! So happy about that! A friend and I are going to do some much needed shopping, YIPPEE! I have $28.00 left over from the American Apparel gift card I got for Christmas. Probably going to get another acid wash v-neck t. Red or green. I already have one in purple, but they are just so comfy and soft that I have to get another. Or maybe a skirt, too many options!

Anyways, sweet dreams. :)

Two - oh- oh - nine!!

I've never met anyone who has kept there New Year resolution. Last year I planned on drinking more water, that was a big-fat-FAIL! For 2009, the plan is to read more. I received soo many books this Christmas which I'm thrilled about. At the moment I'm reading "Lullaby" by Chuck Palaniuk. I'll post a review when I'm finished. (aka: soon)

Here are a few photos of my New Years Eve:
